We're the world's smallest hifi store. In a mere 500 square feet, we sell new and used audio equipment at competitive, discount prices and we will not be undersold by any authorized dealer. We love local trade-ins and consignments. Our specialty is high-performance, high-value, budget audiophile equipment. All products are sold with money-back guarantees and we service what we sell. Our staff is on salary and there are no commissions. We actively take trades, and buy/sell used products. We're happy to quote prices on the phone, just give us a call.
If you have any audio or video-related questions, or just want to say hello, please feel free to send us an email. Our email address is: info@qaudio.com.
Q Audio began as a mail-order seller of used hifi equipment in 1973 with advertisements in the classifieds of Audio magazine. By 1977, the emphasis was on the resale of American and European classics with exports to Japan the thrust. In 1980, the store opened for retail sales. In 1981, Q Audio added new equipment to the product mix with Hafler kits selling briskly to MIT students. In October 1982, Q Audio went to the Tokyo Audio Fair and imported the first CD players into the United States for resale.
Located in the historic Metropolitan Storage Warehouse across from the MIT campus, Q Audio is housed in the original Tech Hifi retail storefront. Since 1967 this address has been a hifi store selling new and used equipment to enthusiasts all over the world.
